Community Meals Assistant

The Community Meals Program is run in all five of our supported housing complexes (four complexes in Victoria and one in Nanaimo). Once per month staff work alongside residents to create nutritious meals. Cooking together encourages cooperation, builds social connections and creates stronger community.

Pacifica Housing is looking for individuals to assist staff and tenants in our community meals initiative by supporting facilitation of cooking skills with tenants. Duties include providing assistance with food preparation, cooking, serving and clean up. We appreciate people who are welcoming and friendly, have some cooking experience (you don’t have to be a professional chef) and have a willingness to work productively and respectfully with individuals who may be dealing with challenges related to addictions, head injuries and/or mental health issues.
